Driveway and surfacing services

We install new driveways and resurfacing across Kent, East Sussex and Surrey with tidy finishing and preparation done properly. We check levels and drainage first — especially important in parts of the Weald and river valleys where water can sit if falls aren’t right.

Covering Kent, East Sussex & Surrey

We cover the South East including Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and the Medway towns in Kent; Heathfield, Uckfield, Crowborough and surrounding villages across East Sussex; and Reigate, Redhill and nearby areas across Surrey.

We regularly work in clay-heavy areas of the Weald and on sloped driveways around the North Downs — so drainage, falls and sub-base depth are always planned properly.

Permeable concrete driveways for flood-risk areas

Parts of Kent, East Sussex and Surrey can be prone to surface water and flooding, especially close to rivers and low-lying ground. If your property struggles with standing water, permeable concrete can help water soak away more effectively instead of sitting on the surface.

We install permeable concrete driveways and parking areas in locations such as Yalding, Tonbridge, Chertsey and other flood-risk spots across the South East. The aim is a driveway that still looks tidy and hard-wearing, but is designed with water movement in mind from the outset.

For more detail, see our page on permeable concrete driveways for flood zones.

Driveway FAQs

How much does a new driveway cost?

The cost depends on size, surface choice and preparation needed. If you send your postcode, rough measurements and photos, we can give a sensible guide price and confirm everything after a site visit. As a guide, resin overlays can start from around £40 per m² on larger areas where the existing surface is suitable.

Do you cover my area?

We cover Kent, East Sussex and Surrey, including Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, the Medway towns, Heathfield, Uckfield, Crowborough, Reigate and Redhill.

What is the best type of driveway surface?

There’s no single best surface. Tarmac suits hard-working driveways and access roads. Block paving suits decorative finishes. Resin bound is smooth and modern. Tar & chip is popular for long rural drives and private roads.

How long does a driveway take to install?

Most domestic driveways take a couple of days up to about a week depending on size, access and ground conditions. Larger or more complex projects can take longer — timings are confirmed when we quote.

Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?

Many driveways don’t need planning permission, especially if surface water can drain to a suitable area such as lawn, flower beds or a soakaway. Rules can vary, so check your local council guidance if you’re unsure.

What do you need from me to give a quote?

Your postcode, a rough idea of the area (or how many cars you want to park) and a few photos of the existing driveway. That’s usually enough to give a realistic budget range before a visit.
